e-Sakhi: Empowering Women Through Digital Literacy
eSakhi is an innovative digital literacy program aimed at making every individual in Rajasthan digitally literate. Developed by DoITC GoR, this free Android application is specifically designed for young girls aged betweenyears, who can become a patron to the journey of Rajasthan. The program aims to select 1,50,000 eSakhis through an open competitive process, who will help in achieving the goal of making every Rajasthani digitally literate.
The e-Sakhi application has integrated many new features that display the performance of e-Sakhis along with their trainees. The personal dashboard of e-Sakhi displays information of trainees, rank of e-Sakhis at different levels, coins earned by e-Sakhis, and much more. The application allows e-Sakhis to add new trainees under their batch and create separate groups of trainees to ensure effective communication with them. The activity section lets e-Sakhis download various government applications, and the notification section keeps them updated with the latest news and updates from the government. The rank of e-Sakhi depends on the number of activities done by her using the application.
